Whether you think of blue crabs or the Baltimore Orioles, Maryland is a state known as much for historic urban centers as it is beautiful beaches and thriving agriculture. Maryland shares its border with Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware, making the state a bustling center for commerce and tourism alike.
Although Maryland is one of the smallest states, it makes up for is size with a rich history and sense of cultural heritage. Maryland was the seventh state to ratify with the United States and played many pivotal roles in our country’s founding. In fact, Maryland played a key role in the formation of Washington D.C. by donating the land where our nation’s capitol sits today.
With a large agricultural and fishing economy, Maryland is home to many rural communities that SERCAP is honored to work with. The Maryland office offers services to communities covering water, wastewater, and sustainability issues.
