Meet Joe Fields

Joe Fields

Did you know that Americans in some parts of the country still don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water? This may come as a shock. Some of us often take clean water for granted, not realizing that for others this is a harsh reality. At SERCAP, we are working to change that. We believe everyone has a right to safe drinking water.

Some homes get their water from public water systems, which are maintained by a city or town. Homes located in rural areas typically get their water from wells, which are maintained by the property owner. It is important for owners to make sure the well is properly maintained. This involves having a professional complete a well assessment.

Enter, Joe Fields! As our Private Well Technical Assistance Provider, his job is to inform homeowners of any potential issues with their drinking water. How? By assessing their well.

Joe’s role is extremely important because contaminated water can cause severe health problems. One aspect of his job is to keep an eye out for possible sources of contamination in surrounding areas. “Seeing a client’s way of life change, such as their health, by being able to help them have clean, safe drinking water” is his favorite part of the job, he says.

People are the core of what we do. Here at SERCAP, we like to say that we serve those who have, for years, served us. One of the reasons Joe fits in so well with our team is because of his people-first personality. The opportunity to help others and make the world a better place is why he comes to work each and every day.

Since joining our team almost five years ago, Joe has enjoyed making a positive impact on people's lives. When asked why he is passionate about the work he does, he said, “because I see the health of individuals and communities grow in positive ways.”

We love having Joe’s enthusiasm on the SERCAP team. His fun and outgoing personality is guaranteed to brighten anyone's day. If we had to describe him in one word, it would be hard-working (ok, two words!) He is always ready to help the team. “I’m always looking to be a part of the solution and eliminating the problem” Joe said.

Working at SERCAP has shown him that he can make a difference. His biggest takeaway from working here? “Knowing that I can make a difference in an individual’s life as well as a community.”

We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about how we come alongside both individuals and communities. Joe and the rest of our team are ready and eager to help you tackle your water supply concerns so you have a lasting solution. If we don't have the answer, we can help find a trusted resource who does.
